Savita Subramanian

Savita Subramanian is a managing director and head of U.S. Equity & Quantitative Strategy for BofA Global Research based in New York. She is responsible for determining forecasts for the S&P 500 and other major U.S. indexes, recommending U.S. sector allocations for equities, and developing and marketing the firm’s quantitative equity strategy to institutional and individual clients.

Savita started her career as an analyst at Scudder Kemper Investments in New York and San Francisco, then joined Merrill in 2001 as a strategist. She has been recognized by Extel/II for the past 14 years and currently ranks in three categories: Thematic Research, Quantitative Research and Portfolio Strategy (latest ranking: No. 1). Savita is a frequent commentator on media outlets and has been named on Barron’s list of the 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance for three consecutive years.

Savita earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and philosophy from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Columbia University. She currently sits on the board of the UCLA MFE program.
